GIORNI 13-15: SÃO LUÍS
GIORNO 13: Prima colazione in hotel. In mattinata si effettuerà il transfer in aeroporto per imbarcarsi sul volo che porterà a São Luís (6 ore di volo). All’arrivo ci si sistemerà in hotel per il pranzo. Il pomeriggio sarà in parte libero per riprendersi dal viaggio, mentre nel tardo pomeriggio si visiterà il centro storico di São Luís. Cena in un ristorante tipico. Ritorno in hotel per il pernottamento.
The historical centre of São Luís has got a colonial style. The houses are colourful, bright and sometimes they are covered with azulejos. There are stalls which sell clothes, souvenirs or traditional objects. The centre is made up by small and tight streets. Sometimes there are little coloured flags on the streets.
GIORNO 14: Prima colazione in hotel. In mattinata visita al Palacio dos Leoes e alla Catedral da Sé. Pranzo in un ristorante tipico. Pomeriggio dedicato a rilassarsi sulla spiaggia di Praia do Calhau. Cena libera e serata dedicata a godersi liberamente la città. Ritorno in hotel per il pernottamento.
This enormous and elegant palace is the seat of governors of Maranhao. It can be visited with a guide and it has got a beautiful view on the bay. It was built under the French influence.
This cathedral is certainly one of the most famous architectural work of the city. It was founded in the seventeenth century and was born as a college. It was restored many times: in fact, the bell towers are recent, they were built in the twentieth century.
Even if it is not too close to the city centre, it is one of the best beaches of São Luís. In fact, the water is very clean, more than in other places. There are also may restaurant.
GIORNO 15: Prima colazione in hotel. In mattinata visita al Museu Histórico e Artístico do Maranhão. Pranzo in un ristorante tipico. Nel primo pomeriggio si prenderà il pullman per arrivare nel comune di Barreirinhas (3h 30min di viaggio). Poi si prenderà un altro pullman che porterà al Parque Nacional dos Lençóis Maranhenses. In serata cena in un ristorante a Barreirinhas, successivamente si ritornerà a São Luís. Ritorno in hotel per il pernottamento.
This museum is located in a beautiful solar of 1836 and inside it seems to be a nineteenth century house, because of the furniture and salons for music. The visit shows the life of the Brazilian elite of the time.
It’s a protected natural area of Brazil. This park comprehends rivers, dunes, water and mangroves (a type of plant). The dunes are made of white sand and change their positions depending on the wind. In fact, it seems to be a desert because it also doesn’t have too much vegetation. But there are rivers and it rains, so ponds are formed.
